SPEAKING for the first time about the woman who has won him over, Twilight hunk Xavier Samuel admitted he is “all loved up” with European beauty queen and model Shermine Shahrivar.
The actor from Adelaide, who took out GQ’s Man of Style award two weeks ago, has spent the past few weeks showing the Iranian-born beauty around Australia for the first time.
The attractive couple recently arrived in Sydney from the Gold Coast, where Samuel was filmingBait, and hardly left each other’s sides at the Mulberry summer garden party on Wednesday.
The 27-year-old revealed he met the Miss Europe pageant 2005 winner in Berlin earlier this year while filming political thriller Anonymous with Rhys Ifans.
“It’s going really well … I’m all loved up,” he told Confidential, and “hopes” Shahrivar will accompany him to Adelaide to meet his folks over Christmas. He plans to stay in Sydney until about March shooting a yet-to-be-confirmed film.

Australian director Stephan Elliott (Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert; Welcome to Woop Woop; Easy Virtue) is set to direct a new comedy, A Few Best Men, which follows a groom and his three best men who travel to the Australian outback for a wedding.
While the details of the narrative are under wraps, the film sounds like it’s tracing similar territory to The Hangover, Todd Phillips’s smash hit about three groomsmen who lose their soon-to-be-wed best friend during a series of drunken misadventures in Las Vegas.
According to sources close to FILMINK, the comedy will feature rising local star Xavier Samuel as the British groom. Samuel was most recently seen on the big screen as a vampire in Twilight: Eclipse and as a tortured high school student in Sean Byrne’s horror film The Loved Ones. Thank your lucky stars that kidnapping, DIY lobotomies and gruesome mutilation aren’t a run-of-the-mill experience at most teenagers’ high school proms.
But that’s exactly what Xavier Samuel “endured” as the lead character in the decidedly quirky new Australian pop-horror film The Loved Ones.
It’s not every day that household drills and humble kitchen kettles are put to such creative macabre use, so when Samuel first read the script for The Loved Ones, his immediate reaction was, “Who’s the demented mind that came up with this stuff?”
Speaking on the phone from Sydney where he is back home for a break, the 26-year-old actor says he was drawn to the complexity of the script, even though the large extent of his role in the film consists of writhing and shrieking in agony while his character is nailed to the floor in a house of horrors.
This is because (as if high school balls aren’t excruciating enough already) Samuel’s character Brent is kidnapped on the night of his school ball after he knocks back an invitation from the quietest girl in his school, whose father is the resident town weirdo-come-psychotic murderer. • Read full story…

Twilight: Eclipse bad boy Xavier Samuel has landed the lead in new Australian-Singapore 3D feature, Bait 3D, alongside Julian McMahon and Shari Vinson.
Bait 3D, produced by Arclight Films, promises to “take the 3D reality of the shark attack to the next level.”
The high concept action thriller follows a group of tsunami survivors trapped inside a flooded supermarket with a pack of man-eating sharks.
The film is Australia’s first co-production with Singapore following a treaty signed in 2007, and pioneers the filmmaking relationship between the two countries.
The largely Australian ensemble cast includes Phoebe Tonkin, Dan Wylie, Lincoln Lewis, Alice Parkinson, Alex Russell, Martin Sacks, Cariba Heine, Damien Garvey and Singapore stars Adrian Pang and Yuwu Qi. • Read full story…

Australia’s The Herald Sun is reporting that Xavier Samuel (“Riley” in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse) has scored a new film role in a 3-D thriller entitled Bait.”the estimated $20 million thriller . . . is about a tsunami that hits a seaside town, trapping local shoppers and tourists in a flooded underground shopping centre with a pack of hungry sharks,” reports The Herald Sun.Bait will co-star Step Up: 3D star Sharni Vinson, and it will be filmed in Queenland’s Gold Coast.This won’t be the first time Samuel has worked with water (in Eclipse, Drowning, and Newcastle, for instance), nor is it the first thriller he’ll have been in (The Loved Ones, Road Kill).
His film Anonymous (which co-stars The Twilight Saga: New Moon star Jamie Campbell Bower) has a release date of September 23rd in the U.S.

Xavier Samuel turned some Twilight heads when he stepped out with his model girlfriend on Monday in NYC. So since the Twilight star is attached, did he ever go on double dates with his co-stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart?
Xavier and his girlfriend Shermine Shahrivar walked around holding hands in Soho after having lunch at Bar Pitti in NYC on Monday.
Even though Xavier’s role as Riley in Twilight was short lived, fans are almost as jealous of his girlfriend as they are of Rob’s!

Robert Pattinson was surely not let down by his fans as he recently topped Glamour’s 50 Sexiest Men of 2010 poll, marking his second year in a row landing the number one spot on the list. The 24-year-old heartthrob was accompanied by his “Twilight” co-stars, Taylor Lautner and Kellan Lutz, who landed on number two and five respectively.
And blood-sucking hunks were apparently dominating ladies this year as “The Vampire Diaries” star, Ian Somerhalder, ranked in number three, beating out vampire contender Lutz. Another blood-sucker who made his way to the list was “The Twilight Saga’s Eclipse” actor Xavier Samuel.
Moreover, “Pirates of the Caribbean” star Johnny Depp, who is also dubbed People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive, secured the sixth place, followed by 16-year-old sensational singer Justin Bieber who came in at seventh place. In the number eight spot was Scottish actor Gerard Butler, while Rachel Bilson’s ex-fiancee Hayden Christensen landed on number nine. Meanwhile, Channing Tatum completed the top ten.
As for Robert Pattinson himself, he has scored some prestigious titles this year. Beside topping Glamour’s 50 Sexiest Men list, he was also named People’s World’s Most Beautiful 2010 and became one of the World’s Most Powerful Celebs on the Forbes list.

Australian actor Xavier Samuel was stunned to land a role in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse – because he’d sent countless audition tapes to the U.S. in an effort to break into Hollywood.
The 26 year old has enjoyed limited fame in his native country but has never managed to crack America, despite numerous tryouts for films.
He sent in a tape to audition for the third vampire movie in the franchise – and was shocked to receive a response from casting agents.
Samuel tells Interview magazine, “It’s kind of like being struck by lightning in a way, because it all seems so improbable.
“I’ve been doing American auditions for a while, and it always felt sort of like sending these audition tapes off into the ether. So just hearing anything back from anyone was kind of startling.”
